| The Climbing Gym is Malaysia's first private indoor facility. It is owned and operated by a company called Nomad Adventure Sdn Bhd, and is open 7 days a week with a variety of climbing walls that cater for many different levels of climbing.
The gym boasts over 300 sq meters of climbing walls, with about 30 top ropes which provide the potential for more than 120 climbing routes. The routes are maked by specific colored artificial rock holds that range in difficulty from a beginners level of 5A to the competitive grade 7B (French grade).
There are instructional courses for first timers by experienced instructors which will cost about RM10.00. However, if you do have sufficient climbing experience for a gym experience, you can opt for a belay test which will set you back about RM5.00. After completing the Basic Rock Climbing Safety Instruction Course, or the Belay Test, you will be issued a belay card with a signature on it from the gym. It will take another two tests before they will allow you to climb by just sighting the belay card.
