2002 graced us with a brand new climbing facility, in no other than our long established hill and casino resort of Genting Highlands. At the top of a mountain range overlooking Kuala Lumpur, the resort has many hotels, a casino, limitless food, beverage and entertainment outlets. Not to mention, a nice misty feel, mixed in with crisp and cool mountain air.
The climbing wall is located in First World Hotel, a newly built facility. Within the structure is an indoor theme park, which is where the wall resides. This facility has over 400 sq meters of climbing on a textured and featured wall surface made from moulded fiber glass. There is ample availability of instructors, trained staff and equipment rental which is arguably affordable.
