Dangerous to divers, the Fire Urchin's Asthenosoma varium poisonous spines are deadly. However it is but a home to many others that seek refuge between its spines.
The next few shots feature creatures that have made a home on the Fire Urchin. Coleman Shrimps Periclemenes colemani live in pairs, the larger being the female.
Adam's Urchin Crab Zebrida adamsii and the commensal shrimp Allopontonia iaini.
